Beautifully variegated white, cream, and green foliage often with pink to rose colored stems and tinges on new growth does give the appearance of being snowed upon. The Hawaiian Snowbush, Breynia disticha, is an easy to grow, tightly branching, compact, shrubby tropical with naturally evergreen foliage but it may drop it at temperatures below about 50oF. Its compact habit lend it to use as an easy and rewarding container plant that can certainly brighten up shaded areas but plants will also readily tolerate full sun. Provide average or better drainage in a fertile, average moist soil. Smaller and more compact than the Japanese Snow Bush.
